Let's Go Challenge Champion Elaine collects her Apache ebike from Rutland Cycling

Elaine P from Loughborough took part in the Arnolds Motorcycles Team. She completed 151 active and sustainable journeys in March and travelled a whopping 351 miles!

Elaine was delighted that she had won the Overall Challenge Champion Award.

"What a lovely surprise!  This is a great way to finish off my working week. Thanks to you and the rest of the team for putting this challenge in place, and to Rutland Cycling for putting up this fab prize.

She told us about how using the app has helped her mental health, and reduced her coffee consumption!

"My mental attitude towards work has changed. I take longer walks on my way to work in the morning and arrive feeling good. I've really noticed the difference in my mental wellbeing compared to the brain fog of driving, and I no longer feel the need to have my usual morning coffee!

I started using BetterPoints 18 months ago and even though I had broken my arm, it didn't stop me from being active! At 61 years old, I didn't think I would win the big prize in the Let's Go Challenge but it incentivised me to try and I wanted to improve my mental fitness, as well as staying physically fit. My husband has also got involved and won a prize so it has been really nice to be active together. We check the app regularly and get excited by the rewards. If we've been this motivated, we can only wonder what it has done for other people!

The Let's Go Challenge made me think more about getting out in the fresh air.  This has also helped the environment as I now only use the car on heavy shopping days and for some long journeys.

Throughout March, I've done loads of walking, some running and quite a bit of cycling. I enjoy the rewards, points and incentives for getting out and doing stuff I enjoy! The BetterPoints app is a great way to encourage people to be more active irrespective of age or ability." - Elaine
