As part of the Walk Leicester Festival we have dropped in lots of new rewards and goals for you to strive for.
Leicester resident Joanna was the first participant to hit the '5 mile challenge' we ran from 10th to 14th May. She kicked off her Monday with amazing 5.39 mile walk to work!
Here is what she said when I contacted her for achieving this goal:
"Thanks for the points boost and the message, so pleased to discover I was the first to walk 5 miles this week. Which is great!
I've started walking to work which saves the environment, saves petrol, saves the awful traffic that has come back now (the only good thing about the pandemic) and I'm also doing a virtual challenge of walking from Lands End to John O'Groats. I have 182 miles left to go. It's 5.3 miles to work and then obviously back again but I really enjoy it and it only takes 1.5 hours. Plenty of time to enjoy the sunshine (sometimes) and forget about work.

Throughout the month we have boosted your weekend walking, set you goals like 'Mile Monday' and during the third week there was the opportunity to win Love2Shop Vouchers for walks over half a mile.
